What a URL QR code can open
Any address that starts with https://: your website, a product page, a Facebook or Instagram profile, a YouTube video, a Google Maps place, a sign-up form or your Google review link. The code opens the link directly in the phone's browser.
Before you print
- Shorter links make simpler codes. Long URLs with tracking parameters make the pattern denser and harder to scan from a distance.
- Use a link you will not change. A static code cannot be redirected later. If the page might move, point the code at your homepage or use a dynamic code.
- Size: at least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 in) on paper. For posters read from a distance, aim for about 1/10 of the scanning distance (2 m → 20 cm).
- Contrast: dark code on a light background. Inverted codes (light on dark) do not scan on every phone.
Why there is no ad before your link
Because the code never passes through us. Many generators put their own address between the code and your site, then show ads or disable the code unless you pay. With free codes here that is technically impossible.
