What we do not collect
QR codes are generated entirely in your browser. What you type into the generator (links, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details, IBANs) and any logo you upload is never sent to our server.
What we do collect
- Email for Pro notifications: only if you enter it on the Pro page. We use it once to tell you Pro is available, then delete it on request.
- Account (only if you create one): your email, your password (stored only as a secure hash, we cannot read it), your dynamic codes and where they lead. Used only to run your account and to send you account emails (confirmation, password reset).
- Scans of dynamic codes: we count scans per day, device type (iPhone, Android, computer) and country. We do not store IP addresses or identify the people who scan.
- Cookies: one cookie keeps you logged in. It is strictly necessary and is deleted when you log out.
- Server logs: our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, time) for security, for a limited period.
Advertising and cookies
The site may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent first. You can manage personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com. Your rights
You can delete your account yourself in Account settings; this removes all your data. You can also ask us what data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at info@free-qr-code.online.
